One Earth, One Health

“Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and the most inhumane.” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

When I first heard this quote, I was incredibly drawn to his take on public health. It’s no secret that our global community faces challenges regarding injustice in healthcare. Due to the economic instability, limited resources, discrimination, and unmodernized technology in certain corners of the world, we are unable to step forward without leaving so many behind. Hence, this artwork aims to raise awareness on global health, to send a message that we will move forward together.

This artwork features a nurse on a humanitarian mission, assisting a patient sat on a medical bed. He is wearing a prosthetic leg, gifted to by the nurse. The mother of the patient is looking at them contently, while carrying her second child. This artwork is set in Central African Republic, where it is considered the country which faces the most problems in healthcare. In the background of the artwork, there is a white wall with graffiti drawn on that reads “NO ONE IS FREE ‘TIL EVERYONE IS!” This work overall demonstrates  the importance of public health, how the underprivileged can receive help through humanitarian missions, and the significance in human empathy.

My Soul Found Home

A quiet and peaceful retreat where gentle waters meet the shore, a lone boat drifts peacefully, and a cozy cabin rests beneath the open sky. This painting captures the beauty of stillness, inviting the viewer to pause, breathe, and find a sense of home in nature’s embrace.

The beautification of rain

Growth begins where no one can see it. This piece represents the heart’s ability to heal, carry pain, and still create beauty. Every bloom symbolizes hope, strength, and the life that grows from within.
